I fucking love Mitski Miyawaki

...or at least her songs since I don't know her personally and she seems to not want to be known outside of that (and she's very good at keeping herself private). I don't know much about music so this is a weird attempt.

A little intro on Mitski.

Mitski is a singer and songwriter born in September 27, 1990 in Mie Prefecture, Japan to an american father and japonese mother. She frequently moved places growing up due to her father's job until finally settling in United States.

She made her first two albuns in 2012 - 2013, those being Lush and Retired from Sad, New Career in Business respectively while studying studio composition at Purchase College's Conservatory of Music.

Her third studio album was Bury Me at Makeout Creek in 2014 through Double Double Whammy and while having acclaim from numerous publications, it failed to bwcome a significant commercial success but who cares about that this album is fucking incredible fuck you.

Puberty 2 was her forth album and was released in October 2015 with Dead Oceans studio. At first she released "Your Best American Girl" and "Happy" as singles before the release of the album.

In 2018 Mitski released her fifth album called Be The Cowbow still with Dead Oceas with the lead single "Geysed" having a music video. Three years after its release, the second single "Nobody" became a tiktok viral and introduced Mitski's music to a broader audience, leading to a significant streaming boost making the album re-enter Billboard's Top 200 in 2021.

On February 2022 she released her sixth album called Laurel Hell through Dead Oceans.

In the next year in July, Mitski released The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We with information on the first single, "Bug Like an Angel", which was released on July 26.

My personal feelings on her.

I met Mitski's music in 2021 (if im not mistaken) on tiktok with the "Nobody", "Me and My Husband" and "First Love/Late Spring" chorus. I tried to listen to the first two songs and I personally hated it lol. Like, i really did not enjoyed her voice and the tone she was speaking until at the end of the year when I decided to listen to "First Love/Late Spring" and i just... I don't know what happened but suddently I loved this woman and her songs. The songs I didn't liked bacame good to my ears and I found myself listening to the full Be The Cowboy album.

From now on, this woman simply became my favorite singer and I basically just entered spotify to listen to her. Yeah, hyperfocus became hard here. Sometimes I would stop for some months without listening to her but in one way or another I would find myself listening to her songs.

Many of Mitski's songs are very emotional to me. I know majorly of her lyrics at the top of my head and by rhythm. She can be very inspiring to me and I love the way she writes emotion. To me, i'ts very clear how she puts lots of care and attention in her music because it digs deep into your soul, like she's pouring a specific feeling on the song and you can feel the same just like her.
I deeply wish to write or create some art like this some day.

At first, I didn't wanted to search much deep into her because I know I would get even more obsessed for this girl on the internet so I just absteined myself from it but now that I'm managing to deal with those symptoms better, I'll try to watch some interviews of her.
